Identity Verification Certificate (IVC)
It is a mandatory requirement that all customers are identified
and verified. However, to simplify the process you can complete an
Identity Verification Certificate (IVC) which places the
responsibility on you to obtain, verify and retain copies of the
customer’s identification documents.
An IVC is not acceptable in the following circumstances and
certified copies of the identity documents need to be submitted
with the application:
- First time buyers
- When identity documents are requested as part of the
application process.
Please note: you will be asked to provide copies of the
identification taken if Lloyds TSB receives a court order, or if a
request made by our auditors. Copies will be required within seven
days.
