Do you have a disability?

This section aims to help customers with disabilities both with using this site and also with communication and getting access to C&G branches and other buildings. You can use the symbols to help you find the services that are helpful to you:

What services are available?

Wherever possible, all C&G branches are adapted or designed to be accessible. If you have any concerns about accessibility, please phone your local C&G branch before visiting. (For details of C&G branches in your area, please click on the link below to visit our C&G branch locator.)

Services in C&G branches include hearing induction loops, templates for signing standard forms and bank note gauges so you can easily check your notes. C&G branch staff can also help you by reading information and completing forms on your behalf.

Making communication easier

Information can be provided in a range of different formats when we communicate with customers - you can choose the one that is most suitable for you. You can communicate with us via fax and textphone and there are also arrangements with the RNID to provide additional services.

As well as visiting C&G branches, you can get in touch by phone (textphones available).

How can I get the most from this website?

If you are having difficulty using this website you can update your browser setting to suit you. Try changing the font size using the font increase and decrease buttons located on the toolbar on every page. There are four different font sizes to choose from, simply click -A/+A to alter the size.

Making accessibility easy

Whenever possible, all new and refurbished C&G branches are designed to be accessible to all customers, including those with disabilities.

Templates and bank note gauge

C&G branches have templates you can use to make it easier for you to sign standard forms. You might need someone to position the template on the form.

You can also use one of the bank note gauges available which will tell you at a touch which bank note is which, based on note size.

Communication made easy

At C&G branches, and also at C&G's Chief Office, we can help you in a number of ways:

A member of staff can read information to you
If a friend or family member is not available to fill in forms for you, a member of staff can
Arrangements can be made for lip readers/speakers or sign language interpreters to attend a meeting with you (this is arranged through the RNID and usually needs about two weeks' notice)

Hearing induction loops

There are hearing induction loops at all branch counters and portable induction loops are also available.

In addition, hearing induction loops and portable induction loops are available at C&G's Chief Office in Gloucester.

Documents in alternative formats

All information and correspondence can be sent to you in your chosen format as well as in standard format. Just ask.

RNID Typetalk

If staff don't have access to a textphone they will use the Typetalk service. You may also Typetalk via the standard telephone system phone numbers, for C&G mortgages and C&G savings.

You can also get in touch by fax and, if appropriate, ask for a reply using the same method.

Adjust this website

You can change this website so it's easier for you to use.
A quick way of changing the text size is to use the font increase and decrease buttons at the top of every page - in fact you can increase the font size up to 3 times. Once you've changed the size, it'll be the same on every page you visit.

Or, if you want the changes to be applicable to every website that you visit you can adjust your browser setting to change text size and generally tailor the website to your needs.

From the 'General' section select 'Fonts'
Choose your preferred font and click on 'OK'

How can I make the text larger or smaller?

Select 'View' menu
Select 'Text Size'
Choose your preferred text size

How can I alter the background style and colour?

Select 'Tools' menu
Select 'Internet Options'
From the 'General' section select 'Colours'
Click on 'Use Windows Colour' to deselect it
Click on 'Text', choose your preferred colour and click on 'OK'
Click on 'Background', choose your preferred colour and click on 'OK'

There are a number of other options available from the Tools menu if you select Internet Options and Accessibility.
